Pet Pass ID is a smart pet ID tag with NFC and QR code. You attach it to your dog’s or cat’s collar. When someone finds your pet, they simply tap the tag with their phone or scan the QR code to open the pet’s digital profile with your contact details and other important information.

1. You order the tag from the webshop.
2. After it arrives, you scan the tag with your phone.
3. A registration / login page opens where you create your account.
4. You fill in your own details and your pet’s information.
5. You attach the tag to the collar.

From then on, anyone who finds your pet can scan the tag with an NFC-enabled phone or read the QR code to access the Pet Pass ID profile and contact you.

Traditional tag: usually only has a name and one phone number. If your number changes, you need a new tag.

Microchip: very important for identification, but can only be read with a special chip reader (typically at a vet or shelter).

Pet Pass ID:

• can be read by most modern smartphones using NFC or by scanning the QR code,
• shows much more than just a phone number (contact details, vet info, allergies, diet, social media, etc.),
• your data can be updated online at any time – without replacing the tag.

For the highest level of security, it is recommended to use Pet Pass ID in addition to the microchip, not instead of it.

You can store, for example:

• owner’s name, phone number, email address,
• home address or a safe meeting point,
• “Take me home” style link with a route in Google Maps,
• pet’s name, breed, special habits,
• vaccination and medical details,
• medications, allergies, dietary requirements,
• vet’s contact details,
• social media links (if your pet has an Instagram, TikTok, etc.).

No. Pet Pass ID works without any dedicated app. The profile opens in a secure web page in the phone’s browser after the NFC tap or QR code scan.

In most cases, yes:

• NFC: most modern Android phones and newer iPhone models support NFC tap-to-open.
• QR code: if NFC is not available or turned off, the QR code on the tag can be scanned with the phone’s camera or any QR reader app.

You only need a regular smartphone with internet access – no special hardware required.

No. Pet Pass ID does not require a mandatory subscription or monthly fee.

With your tag purchase, you get access to your pet’s digital profile where you can save the most important information and update it whenever needed.

If someone finds your pet:

1. They tap the tag with their phone or scan the QR code.
2. The Pet Pass ID profile opens immediately with your contact details and key information about your pet (depending on what you chose to show).
3. They can call you, send you a message, and help bring your pet home safely and quickly.

The Pet Pass ID smart tag is designed for everyday use and regular wear. It is made to handle typical “wear and tear” from walks, playtime and travel.

Important note: we do not recommend using Pet Pass ID together with other metal tags on the same ring, as metal surfaces can rub against the Pet Pass ID over time and scratch or matt the surface.

This is a natural cosmetic wear effect and does not count as a manufacturing defect.

You can manage multiple pets and multiple tags under one user account. This is useful if you:

• have more than one dog or cat,
• want a spare tag,
• or prefer separate tags for different collars, harnesses or travel crates.

If the tag is lost or damaged, you can simply order a new one.

You do not need to register again: you can delete the old tag from your account and then activate the new tag instead of (or in addition to) the old one without any problems.

Yes. The system is designed so that:

• you decide which data are visible on your pet’s public profile,
• your admin dashboard is protected by a password and personal login,
• you can edit or delete your data at any time.

If you want extra privacy, you do not need to enter your full address. You can instead set a nearby street or a safe public meeting point.

• 2in1 FRIENDS PACK: a discounted pack with two tags, ideal if you have more than one pet or want a backup tag.

Pet Pass ID works worldwide – anywhere there is mobile internet or Wi-Fi and the person who finds your pet has a smartphone that can read NFC or scan QR codes.

Because the profile is hosted on the web, there are no geographic limitations on the service itself.
